A Home Owners Association is an organization of property owners that administers the rules in its jurisdiction and upholds the covenants of a subdivision, development or planned community condominium complex. So if you live in a neighborhood with a Home Owners Association, its rules will affect and limit what you can do to a property you own. The rules and covenants are enforced by the Home Owners Association’s homeowner elected board of directors.
A place with Home Owners Association is at some point good news to others. It preserves one value of your land. By ensuring neither you nor your neighbors in doing anything that could violate your rights as the owner of your own property or even just one of the members of the neighborhood. But the bad news is that you cannot necessarily or even easily do what you want with your own private property. Both directors and homeowners have a duty to uphold their ends of the bargain. Neglecting to do so sometimes could lead to such legal action.
Home Owners Associations have their rules as well. In return for monthly or annual dues, Home Owners Associations can provide neighborhood some amenities such as parks, landscape maintenance, club houses and pools and even fundraising. There are some who wants to not planting too many flowers or even just a single plant, no smoking within the neighborhood and even about having a pet. You should carry your dog at all times. These only prove that some home owners are very picky about what their members can do with their properties. However, there are still some who are juts relaxed and just want to generally keep property values.
Notice that not all the time it is good to have an organization which could sometimes cause you to not exercising your rights to your own property. Yes its kind a serves as a help but not at all times. Just don’t be too relaxed. Learn to share, observe and be knowledgeable about all things around you.
